Wines of Brasil Sectoral Project participates for the 15th time of the main segment’s fair, which takes place between March 17 and 19 March, in Düsseldorf
Wines of Brasil celebrates its 15th participation in the world’s largest wine fair presenting a new sectoral positioning, focused on the sparkling wines. From next Sunday (17th) until March 19th, 10 Brazilian wineries will participate in ProWein in Düsseldorf, Germany. Located in the project’s collective stand, at hall 9 – G28, they take to the event the campaign concept’s signing “A Sparkling New World”, betting on the exclusive promotion of the green-yellow bubbles , the sector’s flagship in the international market.
In addition to image projection and consolidation – the main focus of the Brazilian participation in this 25th edition of the event –, it is expected that in the three days of ProWein, the 10 companies will reach about US $ 1 million in business in the 12 months following the fair. The wineries presence is made possible by Wines of Brasil – developed by the Brazilian Wine Institute (Ibravin), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The stand also has the support of the Secretariat of Economic Development and Tourism of Rio Grande do Sul (Sedetur/RS).
“Our participation seeks to consolidate Brazil as a wine-growing reference in the sparkling wines category. The fair is a forum of worldwide trends and we could not fail to participate,” says Diego Bertolini, Ibravin’s promotion manager. Aurora, Bueno Wines, Casa Perini, Casa Valduga, Lidio Carraro, Miolo, Peterlongo, Pizzato, Salton and Zanlorenzi wineries will be representing Brazil in Germany.
The manager adds that besides the authentic characteristics of the Brazilian sparkling wines, the bet on the product is valued by the recognition of the specialized world critic and also by the international awards, which already total more than 1,5 thousand medals in the last 10 years, being more than 200 were won in 2018.
Aligned with the sectoral objective, Wines of Brasil will be in its second year with the Sparkling Brasil lounge, in the project’s collective stand. In the three days of the event, there will be conducted tastings of 21 sparkling wines labels, of the 10 companies participating in the fair.
It will also be the second consecutive time that the Brazilian producers will be represented in the ProWein Forum. At the invitation of the fair’s organizers, at 4:00 p.m. on July 17, sommelier Maurício Roloff will minister to the masterclass “Signature sparkling wines from Brazil”, with the tasting of sparkling wines and presentation of the national production diversity.
After participating in ProWein, a group of 12 people, from five Brazilian wineries, will carry out a technical mission in Italy, in Franciacorta region. From March 20th to 23rd, members of Wines of Brazil and companies Aurora, Casa Perini, Casa Valduga, Pizzato and Salton will visit wineries and touristic enterprises. The objective is to improve the preparation methods of sparkling wines by the champenoise method and to increase the knowledge of the local market.
“Our latest technical missions are being well segmented for sparkling wines. In 2017 we went to the Cava region in Spain, last year was the Prosecco region in Conegliano and Treviso in Italy. This year we are returning to Italy to study cases and strategies of the category again,” explains the Ibravin’s Promotion manager, Diego Bertolini.
