The quality of Brazilian sparkling wines left an excellent impression on the over 60 professionals from the press, importers, and authorities who took part in the master class about Brazilian grape and wine production, held this Tuesday afternoon (17th) at Vinitaly, in the Italian city of Verona. This action was organised by Wines of Brazil, a sectorial project developed by the Brazilian Wine Institute (Ibravin), in partnership with the Brazilian Agency for Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brazil).
To a capacity audience, Brazilian oenologist Monica Rossetti, currently based in Europe, showed the main labels of six vineyards that are part of Wines of Brazil: Perini Brut, Geisse Terroir Nature, Don Guerino Extra Brut Cuvée, Miolo Cuvée Tradition Brut Branco, Casa Valduga 130 Blanc de Noir, and Pizzato Nature represented Brazilian wine production during the tasting session.
That same night, some 50 Italian and Brazilian authorities took part in a dinner paired with Brazilian products. This group shall prove the same wines used in the master class, as well as getting to know the following red and white wines: Pizzato Chardonnay DOVV and Aurora Pinto Bandeira Pinot Noir. This event shall be held at the Villa Mosconi Bertani restaurant.
Apart from hosting the master class and the dinner, Ibravin was also present at Vinitaly with a special committee comprising the president Oscar Ló; the member of the Administrative Board and former President of Ibravin, Dirceu Scottá; and the Administrative and Financial Manager of the institution, Gabriela Poletto. The group was also present at the international launch of Wine South America, a trade fair in the wine segment to be held in September in the city of Bento Gonçalves, State of Rio Grande do Sul.
